Hello it is Heather and I am back with some info on my latest assignment on the Disney documentary film "Oceans." This article I wrote never made it into the Arts page of the Union Newspaper, but was still worth the review none the less.
It was an amazing show of cinematography. I was amazed at the visual aspects and animals in the film. Yet the narration of it was extremely boring because of how monotone the voice was. He should stick to James Bond because documentary film is not for him.
This was a really well put together film and I was in awe, but bored at the same time. I loved the idea of the film, but I feel it was a bad execution.
The flow of the film was off. It was some animals like dolphins and whales and then there were some other animals and back to dolphins and whales. It was very random and annoying.
Yet all the scenes of the animals were captivating. There were some close up shots of animals have never seen before. Not to mention this was filmed all over the world in different oceans and coasts. Certain aspects were very impressive, yet the parts that were bad pretty much killed the film for me. I do not recommend spending the $12 to see this film in theaters. But I am grateful that being a journalist has given me the opportunity to enjoy the evening out.

"Exhilarating visuals... A film that manages to show us things we've never seen."
